We have decided the fae would be pleased if we helped the planet during this event. So we are teaming up with WWF to support two of thier campaigns...
EARTH HOUR:Earth Hour is a global event created to symbolize that each of us, working together, can make a positive impact on climate change--no matter who we are or where we live. On March 29, 2008, millions of people around the world will join together for an hour starting at 8pm to make a bold statement about climate change. Together we will take a stand against the greatest threat our planet has ever faced, by turning off the lights for one hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action on climate change. This simple act will not only heighten awareness of the impacts of climate change on our world, but also inspire individuals and businesses to take practical action to reduce their own carbon footprint.
Spring Fairy Festival will turn off the lights and warm up the dancefloor at 8pm as we begin our Twilight Fairy Costume Ball!
TIME FOR CHANGE: We've reached a critical moment in the history of the Earth and it's 'Time for Change'. In the 50 days leading up to Earth Day 2008, WWF is asking all people to help World Wildlife Fund protect the future of nature by pledging to make change.
Spring Fairy Festival will be collecting your spare change in a mini recycling bin at the event. We will then donate all coins to WWF as we pledge to 'make change' for Earth Day!
